Established by Mwangi Mukami in 2017 as the Summer Leaders’ Summit and Retreat, MLOVE stands as a premier multidisciplinary and multicultural fellowship designed for under-resourced, high-impact, and high-potential NextGen leaders.
Fully Funded MLOVE Fellowship program for Young Leaders 2024-2025
This transformative 12-month experiential leadership program creates a space for young leaders to be vulnerable, collaborate, learn from world-class faculty, and develop into just leaders.
MLOVE invites ten Fellows annually to envision their global role and utilize MLOVE’s extensive global network, resources, and expertise to achieve their educational, career, and entrepreneurial aspirations with a significant impact on the world.
Throughout the program, participants will engage in 15 days of required in-person events, including 2 days of orientation, 3 weekend community retreats, and a 2-day reunion one year after completing the program.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age between 21-35 years
- Demonstrated leadership skills or potential growth in for-profit or non-profit organizations
- Commitment to learning about intersectionality and inclusion
- Remarkable interpersonal skills in writing, speaking, or working with others
- English language fluency (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Submission of three letters of recommendation from different tiers:
- Family: Parent(s), Guardian(s), and/or Siblings(s)
- Community: Religious leaders, social workers, community leaders
- Academia: Present and former teachers, school principals, career advising counselors
- Professional: Employer
Application Requirements
Complete the application form by providing the following items:
- YouTube Video Submission: Create a video (2 minutes and 45 seconds to 3 minutes and 25 seconds) explaining why you should be selected for the program. Upload the video to YouTube and include the link in the form.
- Resume/CV: Submit a PDF version of your resume or CV, limited to a maximum of 2 pages and 10MB.
- Identification Details: Provide details of a valid passport, driver’s license, or identity card. Actual document sharing is not required.
- References: Provide two references with their email addresses. Notify the references in advance for timely completion. Select references from the following categories:
- Community: Religious leaders, social workers, community leaders, or those attesting to your community involvement and impact.
- Academia: Present and former teachers, school principals, career advising counselors, or educational mentors speaking to your academic achievements.
- Professional: Current or former employers offering insights into your work ethic, skills, and professional demeanor.
