It is not just the job of the health practitioners to act during this period. It is the work of everyone. Individuals and corporations all over the world have been making contributions towards actions in treating and putting a halt to the coronavirus. Various fundraisers have been put in place by various bodies all over the world to provide aid to places where it is needed the most. Social platforms like Facebook have been very active in this period. From educating people on how to stay safe during this period to donating cash to coronavirus efforts, Facebook has not failed this time.
The platform has been a pillar in the fight against coronavirus. Facebook has donated directly to World Health bodies and other non-profit organizations such as the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control in the United States of America. They have made matching donations to these platforms. This means that for every donation made to this platform on the Facebook platform, Facebook doubles it. They have also made a $10 million matching donation. These and so many donations they have made towards the fight against coronavirus and with the rate they are going, I bet they are not done yet.

People all over the world have been making donations towards this fight as we are all in this together and if you are thinking otherwise then you are completely wrong. You can also make donations to the World Health Organization as nothing is too small. The World Health Organization in partnership with the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation has set up a fundraiser on Facebook, where they hope to raise funds to help combat the coronavirus pandemic.
The funds raised from this fundraiser will go directly into supporting the World Health Organization in its global exercise to prevent, detect and treat coronavirus. Individuals, corporations and organizations can donate or contribute to this fundraiser. Checks and receipts from alcohol, firearms, and tobacco industries are prohibited. Know that donations made via the Facebook platform are completely tax-deductible.
The World Health Organization in partnership with the Swiss philanthropy foundation is hoping to raise at least $675 million by the end of April 2020. The total donations on this platform will go directly to the COVID-19 solidarity response fund. 95% will go to the solidarity response fund, while 5% will go to the UN foundation to cover the costs of online transactions. Donations on this platform are quite different from other donations and efforts. This is the only way for individual donors to contribute to WHO’s global effort in the fight against coronavirus. The donations on this platform have so far helped WHO in shipping personal protective equipment to 57 countries with 28 more expected soon. Lab supplies have also been shipped to 120 countries globally.
