Egypt’s edtech startup Sprints is set to expand its operation with a $3 million bridge fund. Sprints.ai, an education technology startup in Egypt that focuses on artificial intelligence, just finished raising $3 million.

According to Techpoint, The $3 million raised by Sprints.ai will help the company expand into ten new markets and fuel its growth plans. With this funding, Sprints aims to provide essential tech skills to over 200,000 learners.

Founded in 2020 by Ayman Bazaraa and Bassam Sharkawy, Sprints is based in Egypt and offers various services like talent assessment, personalized learning paths, and job placement assistance. It boasts of being the first edtech startup in the Middle East and Africa to offer such solutions, employing over 100 staff and 300 trainers from 12 countries.

Sprints Have Delivered Over 2.5 Million Learning Hours since Its Inception

Since its inception, Sprints claims to have delivered over 2.5 million learning hours and helped more than 300 tech professionals secure jobs worldwide. The startup also provides an agile-based learning program to help organizations build tech teams in areas like AI, data science, mobile, web, IoT, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.

Sprints Vision to Educate One Billion Learners within the Next Ten Years

With a bold vision to educate one billion learners within the next ten years, Sprints collaborates with governments of various countries, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, Germany, the United States, and some United Nations organizations, to develop tech talent.

CEO of Sprints, Ayman Bazaraa, commented on the funds secured, reportedly stating that it was a team effort. “This investment is a resounding validation of the team’s tireless efforts and unwavering dedication.

Today, I stand proud of what we’ve collectively accomplished and brimming with anticipation for the future we will pave together,” the CEO said.

Sprints Secured $1.2 Million in a Seed Funding Round in April 2022

In April 2022, Sprints secured $1.2 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by Alexandria Angels Network and MED Angels, with additional participation from AUC Angels, Cubit Ventures, Challenge Fund, EdVentures, Falak Startups, and Cairo Angels.
