GBSN is thrilled to introduce the 4th annual Africa Business Concept Challenge (ABCC), a virtual contest tailored for African undergraduate and graduate students to present their entrepreneurial concepts. The competition tasks student teams with formulating a feasible business proposal that addresses a relevant local challenge or problem aligned with Agenda 2063 and promotes inclusive and sustainable development.
The Africa Business Concept Challenge aims to support young individuals from Africa who possess entrepreneurial ambition, and a commitment to community service, and exemplify the outlined values below. Emphasizing the promotion of ethical business practices, the competition seeks to identify promising young talents for mentorship and investment opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to educational institutions across the African continent.
- Student teams should comprise two to five members, with at least two enrolled at an African institution during the competition. It is encouraged for teams to be interdisciplinary.
- Each participating team must have a mentor to guide them and enhance their learning experience. The ABCC aims to establish a community platform for learning, offering mutual support rather than just competition.
- GBSN Membership is not mandatory for participation, and there are no fees to join the competition.
- All projects must tackle:
- A community challenge or necessity
- A business solution
- A feasible business concept
- Execution and influence of the business solution.
