  • The competition offers an opportunity to win an endowment of €8,000.
  • The winning work will be exhibited at the Festival Photo La Gacilly and showcased at the International Festival of Photojournalism “VISA POUR L’IMAGE – Perpignan”.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must have a profession as a photojournalist.
  • They should possess proficiency in both written and spoken English or French.

Selection Criteria

The photographs submitted should adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Only JPEG format is allowed; TIFF and EPS formats are not permitted.
  • The IPTC fields, including captions and copyright information, should be completed. A PDF file containing the captions should also be provided.
  • Each image should not exceed a file size of 3 MB.
  • The image files should be named and numbered according to the desired order of projection for the jury.
  • Applications that do not meet the specified technical criteria will be disqualified from the competition.
  • The applicant’s identity should not be visible in the images to maintain anonymity.

How to Apply

To apply for the photo essay project, applicants must apply to the WIIN platform. The application should include:

  • A curriculum vitae.
  • The applicant’s cover letter, describing their photo essay project in a maximum 1 typed page, but should not contain any information identifying the applicant.
  • A provisional budget for funding the photo essay project.
  • If other partners are providing additional funding for the project, the applicant must provide their names for approval by the Yves Rocher Foundation, which reserves the right not to mention them.
  • 12 to 20 images maximum, produced in black and white or in color, in an accepted format.
  • Scans from relevant publications.
  • A copy of the photographer’s identity document.
  • An attestation that the applicant works as a photojournalist.
