YouLead Africa, Plan International MEESA, and the African Union Office of the Youth Envoy invite applications for the 3rd Cohort of the Lead(H)er Fellowship for young women based in Eastern and Southern Africa.
The Lead(H)er Fellowship, which stands for “She is a leader,” aims to empower young women in Africa by nurturing their skills, expertise, and aspirations in Politics, Economics/Business, and Peace and Security.
The Fellowship provides a supportive environment for young women who have limited exposure to regional and international opportunities, enabling them to make a meaningful impact at local and grassroots levels.
The Third Cohort of the Lead(H)er Fellowship spans 5 months, with the first module conducted in person and the second module delivered virtually through a blend of online sessions and self-paced learning.
The program includes personal assignments, group work, and readings to enhance the Fellows’ learning experience.
Cost
- The organizers will cover the costs of physical participation. They will also assist with internet packages for online engagement and completion of assignments.
Eligibility
- The program is open to young women up to 25 years old.
- To be eligible, you must be nationals/residents of Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Malawi, Mozambique, Lesotho, Zambia, or Zimbabwe.
