The Lead(H)er Fellowship, which stands for “She is a leader,” aims to empower young women in Africa by nurturing their skills, expertise, and aspirations in Politics, Economics/Business, and Peace and Security.

The Fellowship provides a supportive environment for young women who have limited exposure to regional and international opportunities, enabling them to make a meaningful impact at local and grassroots levels.

The Third Cohort of the Lead(H)er Fellowship spans 5 months, with the first module conducted in person and the second module delivered virtually through a blend of online sessions and self-paced learning.

The program includes personal assignments, group work, and readings to enhance the Fellows’ learning experience.

  • The organizers will cover the costs of physical participation. They will also assist with internet packages for online engagement and completion of assignments.

  • The program is open to young women up to 25 years old.
  • To be eligible, you must be nationals/residents of Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Malawi, Mozambique, Lesotho, Zambia, or Zimbabwe.
