On Friday, a very massive gathering of people reportedly showed up at New York City’s Union Square for a giveaway that was hosted by two social media influencers, mega-popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat as well as another streamer, Fanum. Cenat and “a few other people” have already been arrested, according to NBC 4 reports.

NYPD Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey in one press conference that was given after the incident took place, responded to questions regarding Cenat, saying, “We do have him,” but however did not specify in what precinct. And according to Maddrey, the NYPD became aware of the reported posts at about 1:30 PM ET, just before the posts went viral at around 3 PM. And after some in the crowd started to act violently, he stated, the police removed Cenat from the park just before eventually proceeding to declare the gathering an unlawful assembly.
