The OnePlus Watch 2 is Rumored to Launch In 2024

The OnePlus Watch 2 is rumored to launch in 2024. This news is according to several rumors making the rounds in the rumor mill. And if anything about it is true, then it seems that another smartwatch is coming.

OnePlus Watch 2 Rumored Launch

OnePlus Watch 2 Rumored Launch

You may just remember the OnePlus Watch that was launched back in 2021 as well as the budget OnePlus Watch Nord that came the following year in India, and although there really hasn’t been a OnePlus wearable this very year, it quite seems that the OnePlus Watch 2 could well be making its way to our shelves in the coming.

This very development comes from regular tipster Max Jambor (via 9to5Google), who has stated that the watch in question will make use of a round face, just like its predecessor, and that it will be “better” than the original which you would in question expect really, after a two-year gap.

We however did hear a mention of the OnePlus Watch 2 in the previous year, though back then at the time it was slated for a launch at some point in the year 2022. That obviously didn’t materialize, or perhaps there was some kind of confusion between the OnePlus Watch 2 as well as the OnePlus Watch Nord.

The OnePlus Watch Nord Availability and Design

The OnePlus Watch Nord in question, which never really got released outside of India, made use of a square face in the style of the Apple Watch, but however based on this very leak it would now seem that OnePlus is going to stick to the same circular design for its main smartwatch line.

Aside from the very prediction that it is going to arrive in the year 2024 and that it is also going to come featuring a round watch face, we really don’t know too much else regarding the OnePlus Watch 2 in terms of either its design or even its internal specifications.

OnePlus Watch 2 OS

One question to note here is whether the wearable in question will run the OnePlus Watch OS, just like the original, or it will switch to Wear OS. And just so you know, the Oppo smartwatches in question run Wear OS, and Oppo and OnePlus in question are virtually the same company at this point.

We really liked the “sleek looks and week-long battery life” as well as the low price of the original OnePlus Watch, while also noting our frustrations on the other hand that there were few third-party apps for the smartwatch, primarily just because of the OnePlus Watch OS.

OnePlus Watch 2 Expected Improvements

Let’s be hoping that the OnePlus Watch 2, when it eventually does launch, improves in all the areas that need improvement. Perhaps we just might even see it get to show up alongside the OnePlus 12 at the kickoff of the year.
