The company behind Pokémon has now shared a new trailer for Pokémon scarlet and violet recently, the trailer provided another look into the upcoming Nintendo Switch games ahead of their scheduled November launch.
And among other things, the trailer revealed a handful of new Pokémon that gamers and players alike will meet while playing the games and this is including Fidough which is a fairy-type of puppy Pokémon that is made of dough. Also, a glimpse at an all-new regional variant of whooper was revealed as well as a new ice-type whale Pokémon that is named Cetitan.
And asides from the new Pokémon, the trailer also gave a closer look into the settings of the game which is now known as the Paldea region. In the history of the series, this is the first fully open-world backdrop. Players and gamers now will be able to explore paldea freely while also riding atop Koraidon or Miraidon which is the legendary Pokémon that grace violet and scarlet covers.
Miraidon and Koraidon Will Now Be Able To Transform
Both Miraidon and Koraidon will now be able to transform so they will be able to cross all types of terrain as well as swimming across expanses of water and glide through the air. This type of versatility will come in very handy in the game given the fact that the paldea region is vast, wide, and geographically diverse.
Lastly, the trailer gave gamers their first look at Scarlet and Violet’s signature new battle mechanic: Terastallizing. And similar to Mega Evolution and Dynamaxing, this allows your Pokémon to undergo a temporary transformation during the battle time, and in this case giving your Pokémon a jewel-like type of body.
Every Pokemon That Is Found In the Paldea Region Is Capable Of Terastallizing
Every Pokemon that is found in the Paldea region is capable of Terastallizing, and each also has a Tera type that it will turn to when it undergoes the transformation. Most Pokémon’s Tera types will match directly with their standard ones, but some on the other hand have a different Tera type. For example, while Eevee’s Tera type is typically normal, it’s also possible to catch an Eevee whose Tera type is flying or grass.
When Will the Game Launch
Pokémon scarlet and violet will launch on November 18 on Nintendo Switch with a special bonus for early birds. Every single person that purchases a copy of the game before February 28 2023, will be able to get a special flying Tera-type Pikachu.
