Oxenfree II is set to launch in July 2023. And according to reports, the supernatural sequel will be heading to Switch, Steam, PlayStation, and Netflix.

This summer is going to be a very supernatural one with the new development in regard to Oxenfree II. Nintendo as part of its latest Indie World showcase announced that after a couple of delays, Oxenfree II: Lost Signals will be launching on the 12th of July 2023. The game will be coming to consoles and platforms such as the Switch, Steam, PlayStation, and the streaming platform Netflix.

The Official Premise of the Game

Lost Signals as you should know is a sequel to the 2016 adventure game that was not just creepy with very much similar vibes to Stranger Things but also had a novel type of dialogue system that made its conversations very natural. The sequel however fast forward things to five years in order to continue with the story. And with that being said, here is the official premise of the game:

“Riley returns to her hometown of Camena to research strange electromagnetic waves. Tune the radio to communicate with supernatural beings and manipulate the world around you. And watch out for a shadowy cult attempting to open a reality-altering portal. While exploring the town, use the new walkie-talkie conversation system to connect with local contacts.”

Netflix’s Continued Push into Gaming

The game Lost Signal is also popular and well known as the first release of Night School developer ever since the studio was bought by Netflix as part of the streaming platforms’ continued to venture into gaming, the original Oxenfree however is available on mobile for subscribers of Netflix.
