The application call has been announced for the Open Africa Power Programme 2023. The Enel Foundation, in partnership with SEforALL (Sustainable Energy for All), is pleased to invite young African women and youth for the 2023 edition of the Open Africa Power programme.

The programme is designed primarily to empower young women and youth in Africa to take leading roles in the energy transition on the continent of Africa.

The Open Africa Power programme was established in 2018 and has since provided cohorts of young energy professionals with technical, regulatory, and business skills required to kick-start the African sustainable energy future.

The 2023 edition of the Open Africa Power programme will accommodate about hundred and fifty (150) African students, of which 50% will be women with about 400 Alumni.

These Participants will be engaged in varieties professional development and leadership activities. The program will receive partnerships with renowned academic institutions in Italy and Africa.

How to Apply for Open Africa Power Programme 2023?

Eligibility Criteria for Enel Foundation Open Africa Power Program 2023

Open Africa Power Program invites Candidates who fulfill the conditions below to apply:

  • Candidates who are between the ages of 24 and 35 by May 1st, 2023
  • Open Africa Power is for nationals of an African country alone
  • Applicants must be residents of an African country or have plans to relocate to Africa by the end of 2024.
  • He/She must be eligible to travel to Italy.
  • Ideal Candidates are expected to have graduated by May 1st, 2023 with a PhD, MSc, LLM, MPP, or MBA degree.
  • Applicants with BSc degree or those currently enrolled in a master’s degree can apply
  • Proficient in English
  • Applicants must be willing to promote gender equality and women´s empowerment.
