The Nigerian Women Association of Georgia Inc. USA is pleased to announce the Application Call for the NWAG Nigerian Scholarship Program 2023. It is a one-time scholarship to be awarded to eligible Women applicants per state of Origin and one applicant for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
NWAG Nigerian Scholarship 2023
The Nigerian Women Association of Georgia Inc. USA (NWAG), is set to award scholarship opportunities to about 74 women Undergraduates students in Nigerian University in 2023
NWAG will award each Successful 2023 Candidate from a recognized Nigerian University, with a scholarship worth $300 (Three hundred U.S dollars). In addition, the NWAG will also reward each of the 1st runners with the sum of $150. Please note that the NWAG Nigerian Scholarship funds are awarded in Naira equivalent.

About Nigerian Women Association of Georgia (NWAG)
The Nigerian Women Association of Georgia (NWAG), was birthed in 2000 when Mrs. Dayo Keshi invited many Nigerian women for a discussion on how to combine their efforts towards impacting the lives of Nigerians both at home and abroad. The majority of these women belonged to various community organizations.
Therefore, the Nigerian Women Association of Georgia (NWAG), is a group of women from different Professions, who have a commitment to bringing their resources, talents, and efforts together, with the aim of improving the lives and well-being of the less privileged in their communities (Nigeria and in Georgia). They also seek to promote the rich cultural heritage of Nigeria.
Since the inception of NWAG in 2000, the Organization has successfully improved the lives of women, youth, and children in Atlanta, Georgia, and Nigeria. In 2021, NWAG celebrated its 21st Anniversary of positively transforming the lives of women, youth, and children in it’s local Metro Atlanta Community and Nigeria.

Requirements for NWAG Nigerian Scholarship Program 2023 Qualification
To be eligible for NWAG Nigerian Scholarship:
- The Applicants must be Nigerian and
- Must be Female (woman) as men are not eligible to apply
- Applicants Should be proficient in the use of the English Language (mandatory for all Candidates)
Documents Required for Application
- Evidence of State of Origin
- A Letter of Origination from the university or from the applicant’s local government office.
- Two letters of recommendation from any two of the following:
- Pastor or Imam
- Village Head
- Local Government Chairperson
- University Lecturer or Head of the Department.
- A Letter of recommendation from the Dean of Faculty or School Head of the candidate’s Department
- A Photocopy of the current university student identification.
- A current photograph.
- An essay stating why you need and why you should receive the scholarship (Not more than one-half typed page).
