Nothing Phone 2 Features Leaks

The launch of the Nothing Phone 2 is stipulated to take place on July 11 which is less than a week away, but a new leak has kind of spoiled some of the potential specs of the device. In a thread making the rounds on Twitter which was spotted by 9to5Google, leaker Kamila Wojciechowska shares that the incoming Nothing Phone 2 could sport some improvements to its camera system.

And according to Wojciechowska, the upcoming device could be featuring a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) as well as in-sensor zoom. And that is the same primary sensor that is used by the OnePlus 11, which expert Allison Johnson listed as one of the positive aspects of the device in her review. It is however still not clear as to how much this will actually affect the quality of the camera, though, as the Phone 1 on the other hand already comes with a 50MP main sensor.

Details of the Leaked Specs

Additionally, the leak in question shows that the Phone 2 could come with a 32MP Sony IMX615 front-facing camera with electronic image stabilization (EIS), thus offering an upgrade over the 16MP selfie camera of the Phone 1. Meanwhile, the 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide lens which is on the rear of the device is now being rumored to stay the same. Nothing CEO Carl Pei already teased some of the photos that he has taken with the Phone 2, thus giving users an idea of what to expect out of the device.

Wojciechowska on the other hand also shared some details in regards to the display of the Phone 2, and if this is any way true, then it doesn’t look like very much is changing. The device in question could feature a similarly specced 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate as well as a 1080 x 2412 resolution, alongside support for low power modes that can even go as low as 1Hz.

Should Users Be Expecting More from the Launch

This new leak in question leaves even less to the imagination just ahead of the launch of the Nothing Phone 2, just as we have already seen what the device looks like in a hands-on video from YouTuber Marques Brownlee. The device as you should know features an updated Glyph interface that lets for more lighting customization and will also be coming with a transparent USB-C cable that matches the see-through design of the phone.

Nothing Phone 2 Availability in the US

And even though the design and maybe the specs also is not changing much with the Nothing Phone 2, the device is still very much a pretty big deal for the company. This is the first Nothing Phone to be released in the US, and the company is already starting to set up a kiosk where you can buy the Phone 2 in person in the city of New York.
