Well, this is what ford is announcing: The Tremor Off-Road Package is now available for the maverick lineup thus boosting its mud-churning chops and rock crawling with a series of suspension, drivetrain, and also software updates.
It kicks things off with up-rated springs and shocks that help lift the small truck by a whole inch. Half-shafts as you should know already are bigger to handle any torque applications that are unexpected and an upgraded Trans cooler should also help keep temps in the green even in the event that you are out adventuring in Moab in July.
Also, there’s an upgraded rear differential in the all-wheel-drive system. This is a dual-clutch locking unit to help keep the torque going to places where it’s needed, while a suite of new drive modes help optimize power delivery regardless of whatever it is you’re rolling over. The Trail Control system of Ford is also making an appearance, so that you can easily set your speed and then allow the truck to handle the throttle and brakes all the while you just worry about steering.

A good off-road package here is nothing without some custom visuals to match, and Ford has got you covered there, too. The Tremor package as you should know includes blacked-out Ford logos along with orange highlights for tow hooks on the custom 17-inch wheels as well with 235 section-width all-terrain tires.
Not enough glamour? For another $1,495 you can add the Tremor Appearance Package. This package paints the roof and mirror caps in Carbonized Gray, thus splashing some extra graphics on the hood and the lower body.
Hybrid Buyers Will Still Have To Wait a Bit More For Their Model
The $2,995 maverick tremor off-road package is available to buyers on both XLT and Lariat trims only if you want the 2.0-liter EcoBoost Motor. Hybrid buyers however at the moment will have to keep their off-road aspirations limited for the time being.
