The Women for Africa Foundation has announced the Application Call for the 2023 edition of Learn Africa Scholarship. African Women are highly encouraged to apply for this training and graduates opportunity.
Since the inception of the Learn Africa Scholarship Program, over 600 Scholarships have been successfully awarded to African women from more than 40 different countries. This result was achieved as a result of the unwavering commitment and dedication of 50+ partners, including universities, educational centers, and donors.
Learn Africa Scholarships
This year, Learn Africa is celebrating its tenth anniversary, with over 250 alumnae from more than 30 different countries, the majority of which have completed their studies In Spain or Morocco and are currently in the labor market in their various countries bringing about an improvement of their economy.
The previous editions of the Learn Africa program were entirely online due to restrictions placed on travel and gatherings globally to curtail the spread of the pandemic. The training returns with a larger experience, offering three different training modalities such as face-to-face, online, and blended (hybrid). Female African Students can now choose their preferred training model.

Founded in 2012, the Women for Africa Foundation is a private nonprofit organization in Spain. The Foundation was said to have been founded by María Teresa Fernández de la Vega (Former vice president of the Spanish Government).
One of the core objectives of the Women for Africa Foundation is to add to the development of the African continent by providing support to its Women as well as accompaniment. This support is often provided to women who are the driving force behind its progress.
The Foundation has a Commitment to driving and enforcing democracy, governance, peace, human rights, and sustainable economic and social development. It focuses on these areas in terms of equality because it believes that equality is the most powerful factor crucial to social transformation.

Eligibility Criteria for Learn Africa Scholarship 2023/2024
- To be eligible, an applicant must be a woman and have the nationality of an African country.
- She must be a current university student in Africa or already obtained a university degree issued in an African country.
- For a Postgraduate Scholarships opportunity, the Degree title is required.
- Candidates must fulfill the specific requirements and technical material of each type of scholarship.
