Welcome To Your New Google Digital Skill For Africa

It is no longer surprising and news that the future is digital. And if you want to be a part of the future or if you want to even survive at all in the no-distant future you need to go digital now. Going digital is what the Google Digital Skill for Africa stands for. With the coronavirus pandemic, a lot has happened. We saw the destruction of lives and the effect it also had on the world economy amongst others. One important thing that happened is that most of the brick-and-mortar companies went online.

This development, simply means that if you want to get the services of these companies and enterprises, you will have no choice but to go online. The step to going to a digital world globally has been on track, the coronavirus pandemic only fast-tracked it.

Now what the digital skills for Africa, or what does it mean? This is a Google initiative and program in conjunction with several of its training partners globally. This program aims at training young people all across Africa with various courses. The internet is full of lots of possibilities and do you know that most people are already benefiting from this? Yes, this is true and if you have not benefitted from it already, it’s not too late as there is still time for you to learn that digital skill you have always wanted to learn.

In Africa, there are lots of people who want to learn digital skills but due to a lack of access to resources, they cannot. Thanks to this Google initiative, the required tools and resources will be available to everyone across Africa who aims to learn a digital skill or more. If your business has also been disrupted by events as of late, then you will find this program beneficial. With this program, you will get to discover various tools that will make you succeed in your business. You will also get to improve your interview skills and lastly prepare for the career you want.

Google Digital Skills For Africa Partners

Google Digital Garage

What is the Google digital garage?  The Digital Garage by Google is a non-profit nationwide program. This program of course is a Google initiative. This program offers digital skills training online for free. On this platform, you will get access to resources and plans that are suitable for beneficiaries to easily learn digital skills. And it is all for free. All you get to learn here are skills that will help you broaden your knowledge of the digital world. Or you will get to learn a whole new skill you never knew of for free.

To access this program, you will have to register for it. To register for this program, go to Google Digital Learning and click on the register tab to get started. After registering, you will be given unrestricted access to tons of courses on the platform for free. And at the end of each course, you will be given a certificate.

Login Digital Skills For Africa

If you have registered on this platform, you will need to log in whenever you want to access your dashboard and continue with your study. Logging in to your account on this program is very easy. It does not require any form of expertise of any kind. To login;

  • Go to Google Digital Skills on your internet-enabled device.
  • Click on the sign-in tab at the top of the digital skills page.
  • Enter your details in the spaces provided such as your first and last name.
  • Answer the questionnaires by checking the boxes with the answer that best suits you.
  • Check the Google Terms of Service box and click on complete.

You have just successfully logged or signed in to the Google Digital Skills for Africa platform. All you now have to do is to click on the’ I’m ready’ box. Next, you will need to select a course and start studying. At the end of most courses, you will be awarded a certificate.

Google Digital Marketing

What is Google digital marketing? This is a free course on the Google platform. With this course, you can now learn a new skill today with Google. This course includes certification. This means that at the end of the course, you will be given or awarded a certificate of completion. There are 26 modules in total for studying this course. It also takes 40 hours of studying to complete this course.

The certificate offered at the end of the course study is recognized. This means that you can add it to your CV. There are also video tutorials for this course. After completing all the modules in this course, you will need to take the final exam. This exam consists of 40 questions and if successful you will then be certified. You can now download your new certificate.
