The 2023/2024 edition offers awards up to $10,000 for participating projects, however, this award depends on geographic location, the local economy, etc.

Projects submission are accepted until September 13th, 2023, and only semi-finalists will be contacted via notifications due to the large number of proposals.

Eligibility Criteria for the Tikkun Olam Grant Program

  • The Jewish Helping Hand (JHH) will place emphasis on projects that enhance positive change for people of all backgrounds and religious affiliations.
  • Participating individuals or organizations must demonstrate clear promise to achieve any of the following:
  • A response to unmet needs of poor and marginalized people
  • To Promote self-help and empowerment within communities
  • The grant does not apply to capital, building, or political campaigns, fellowships, or programs administered by for-profit entities.
  • Furthermore, JHH grants cannot be used to subsidize conference fees, expenses, or travel.

Application For Jewish Helping Hand Tikkun Olam Grant Program

Applying for the Jewish Helping Hand Tikkun Olam Grant Program 2023/2024 typically involves a few steps, these steps have been outlined below:

Step 1: This first step requires applicants to submit the initial inquiry form on: https://forms.gle which must be completed by September 13, 2023.

Step 2: Notification of Successfully Selected Organizations by November 7, 2023. All Successful Organizations will be invited to submit a full application

Step 3: To be completed from January 9, 2024 – March 14, 2024. At this stage, finalists will be notified of their status and invited for interviews (in person or via Skype/telephone)

Step 4: Grants recipients will be contacted by the JHH committee. The duration and details of the grant will also be announced. To be completed by May 1, 2024.
