In the course of the program, fellows will visit the United States of America for a two-week exchange with policymakers, thought leaders, American entrepreneurs, and others, in order to gain knowledge and establish strong networks needed to enhance resilient democracies whose root is traced to economic freedom.
The IRI McCain Fellowship for Freedom will encourage peer-to-peer learning, provide targeted training and cultivate a generation of changemakers who are building more inclusive, transparent, and resilient democracies powered by free markets.

Eligibility Criteria for the IRI McCain Fellowship for Freedom Program Qualification
To be eligible for the MFF Program:
- Candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 40
- Candidates Must Not be a U.S. citizen
- Ideal Candidate should be proficient in English (written and oral)
- Applicants are expected to Posses robust experience in politics, government, and/or the private sector, with a preference for individuals with cross-sectoral experience;
- Must show a proven history of and passion for advocating for democratic and free market reform;
- Should maintain a position of authority and leadership within their current career and community.

During the application stage of the IRI McCain Fellowship, successful Candidates are required to submit a letter of nomination to participate in the fellowship.
