Hogwarts Legacy Storyline

The Hogwarts Legacy is an RPG that is set in a huge, open world. Talking you all the way to the wizarding world of the 1800s, Hogwarts Legacy is working on some distance between itself and familiarity of the books and films but the fans of the Harry Potter series have been assured that the game would be “firmly rooted in the Harry Potter universe”. The developer stated that it aims at  “chart new territory by creating fresh ways for fans to immerse themselves in the wizarding world”.

The game has an original storyline that characters would get to run through, just in case you are thinking that you would just roam around the school without any story or adventure.

As stated in a Post on the PlayStation Blog, you get to start at Hogwarts in your fifth year, coming to the school just after surviving some strange mysterious incident. Your character has some ties to ancient magic” which would “put you on a collision course with a goblin rebellion led by Ranrok, aided by his alliance with the Dark wizard Victor Rookwood, who both present formidable threats to the entire wizarding world.”

Hogwarts Legacy Gameplay

In an FAQ for Hogwarts Legacy, the game is entirely single-player with no experience with no online or co-op modes. Seeing as the Focus is placed on the Single-Player experience, the game seems to be all about crafting your very own adventure in the wizarding world.

It is no surprise, then, that you would have to create your very own character in a character creator that seems to allow for a bit of customization, based on what we were shown in the Hogwarts Legacy gameplay reveal.

According to reports, the game would enable players to customize their character’s body type, voice, and gender placement for school dormitories. Once your character has been created, and you have selected your house, there would be classes for you to catch up on and new friends for you to make.

To add some extra layer to the social aspect of the story, you get to nurture those connections, with your new magical friends to enlighten you with new abilities and act as companions on quests and adventures.

During learning hours, you would get to learn and cast spells and charms, brewing potions, and attend a host of classes so that you would be able to graduate alongside your classmates.
