If you are a young leader from the Americas who is eager to make a difference on a global scale, you have come to the right place – there is an opportunity. You can attend the prestigious One Young World Summit 2024 in Montréal from September 18 to 21 through the Leading the Americas Scholarship 2024.

One Young World is the global platform for young leaders where they nurture their social impact, hone their skills, and amplify their influence both locally and internationally.

Fully Funded Leading the Americas Scholarship 2024

Each year, the One Young World Summit brings together 2,000 young leaders from over 190 countries to collectively address the world’s most pressing challenges. Delegates work with top leading politicians, business, and humanitarianism, including esteemed leaders like Justin Trudeau, Paul Polman, and Mary Robinson.

This helps to empower them through the sharing of insights and connections, and they take this insight to their communities as One Young World Ambassadors, equipped to drive meaningful change with the support of a global network comprising over 15,500 young leaders.

The Leading the Americas Scholarship aims to ensure the representation of exceptional young leaders from the Americas at One Young World Summits. If you are actively working on a more sustainable future for your region, One Young World invites you to join their annual Summit.

Scholarship Details

As a participant, you will have:

Access to the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montréal, Canada.
Hotel accommodation from September 17 to 21, 2024.
Comprehensive catering including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Coverage of travel expenses to and from Montréal.
Please note that your flight must depart from and return to the same international airport.

Eligibility Criteria

To stand a chance:

Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old.
You must show a tangible commitment to driving positive change.
Have and show leadership potential.
Address key local and/or global issues through their work.
Have a track record of generating impactful and innovative ideas.
Hold the nationality (passport) of one of the eligible countries.

Selection Process

The best applicants will be shortlisted by mid-May 2024 and they will be contacted individually by a member of the One Young World team.

Please note:

While every effort is made to shortlist applicants and secure sponsorship, there is no guarantee of selection or sponsorship. Preference will be given to applicants from countries with limited representation in past One Young World Summits and to first-time attendees. Due to the high volume of applications, One Young World cannot provide individual feedback on the selection process.
