Just as expected, “Resistance” comes with a set of new characters to the battle royale island as well as some map changes and items that you would find on the map. Marvel makes yet another reappearance in Epic’s video game universe with the addition of Dr.

Strange, the gold bar funding initiative is coming back again for pro-Resistance Weapons, the Battle bus has some new armor, and there are IO Vehicles on Land and in the sky, a bunch of weapons is back from the vault, and many more.

Issues on the Server Forces Players to Wait

If you attempt to step right into a “Fortnite” Match on “Resistance” launch day, you’ve likely been met with a “waiting in queue” message, followed by a long wait period. That is mainly because of some issues on the server as epic stated in its investigating. In a tweet posted on Fortnite Status twitter account around 5:45 a.m. PDT / 8:45 a.m. EDT, the company stated that it could not open up its game servers to everybody trying to log right into this because of this unspecific issue.

An update that was once again published on that same Twitter account a few hours later stated that Epic is still working on the issue that is causing players to experience a long queue time.”

The company stated that players would get to see various queue times, some facing longer waits than others, while promising it would return with more updates when it irons out the issues. Well until then, players that want to play should launch the game ahead of time to enter the queue; it might take up to an hour or longer before each player would be able to sign into Fortnite and join a match.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 Changes Detailed

“Resistance” is accommodated by a lot of changes to the battle royale island, and as with previous seasons, some of them you would only discover once you jump right into the gameplay and look around for yourself. Epic does detail some major changes on its “Fortnite” blog, and it includes the newest weapons that are now on the island, which items were unvaulted, a new type of vehicle mod titled “Cow Catcher,” and the addition of “Repair Torch,” Which is a blow torch that can be used to repair damaged vehicles.

The biggest addition so far when it comes to weapons is the Siege Cannon, which is a large deployable cannon that can shoot projectiles long distances and launch the player over the same distance to quickly the map or escape enemies. This season is also bringing in the striker Burst Rifle and Combat SMG, and tons of weapons have been unvaulted, not the least of which is the controversial drum shotgun – though, Epic notes that they just adjusted the firearm so it now fires at a much slower rate, the flipside of which is that each shot deals a little bit more damage.

Players now get to see IO Blimp vehicles over POLs, indicating locations that have been occupied by the IO. The blimps are now filled with items and it includes zip lines for scaling them. “Fortnite” chapter 3 – season 2 can now be downloaded.
