Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates holding a standard 3 years of higher education degree of 180 credit hours or a complete bachelor’s cycle or equivalent degree can apply.
- Applicants are expected to have an official confirmation from the university for the degree or must have a degree completion certificate.
- Applicants are not allowed to have prior work experience in any EU Commission or agency
- A very good knowledge of any two EU official languages is required
- There will be an additional point for candidates who have an international profile that is demonstrated through education, work, or volunteering experience abroad

There are about three step procedures in applying for the European Union Traineeships Program 2024
Step 1. Register on European Commission Authentication Service through an EU login.
After creating your login account, proceed by entering your email or ECAS username
Step 2. This step requires you to complete your application. Candidates are allowed to save their application, this will enable them to log back in at any time.
Step 3. Complete the application and submit it. It’s important to read through carefully before submission. The moment an application form is submitted, you will not be able to work on any changes.
Upon Successful application, applicants will receive a confirmation receipt along with a candidate number.
