Prior to the showcase in question, we already knew that Modern Warfare 3 would reportedly be featuring a total of 12 game modes, with 20 playable maps at its launch and 16 of which will originate from Modern Warfare 2 (2009), and 12 more all-new 6v6 core maps on the other hand set to arrive post-launch.

All-Original Game Mode from Sledgehammer

Sledgehammer to add to this, went on to show an all-original game mode for the series known as Cutthroat, which will eventually make its debut in Modern Warfare 3. Not much has really been said regarding Cutthroat, but we however do know that it’s a 3v3v3 action mode for core multiplayer maps and Operators in question will have only one life per round in the very mode. The aim of the mode here is to eliminate the enemy teams or to capture the overtime flag in order to win the round.
