Ban Ki-Moon Global Citizen Scholarship Description
Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens, has recently announced the application call for the 6th edition of the Global Citizens Scholarship Program.
The goal of the Ban Ki-moon Global Citizens Scholarship is to empower young African global citizens whose passion for the United Nations SDGs is demonstrated with proven steps and actions.
The Global Citizens Scholarship is a virtual experience designed for young Africans to take leading roles in addressing one or more of the SDGs in their community.
Participants are expected to propose and implement an SDG Micro-Project and also benefit from participating in summer school, expert training, and workshops on specific topics.
The scholarship training opportunity will be offered to 15 young African change makers, between the ages of 20 to 35 from an African country. Meanwhile, the program is scheduled to commence on the 4th of May, 2023.

- Once the SDG Micro-Project, signed by the Ban Ki-moon Centre is completed, Participants will be given a Certificate of Achievement.

Eligibility Criteria for Ban Ki-Moon Global Citizen Scholarship 2023
- As stared earlier, the training is for 15 young African change makers, within 20 to 35 years, who must be from an African country
- Candidates should have Passion for taking action towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Ideal Candidates should be open-minded to learn about entrepreneurship for sustainable development during an online summer school with MCI Innsbruck and
- Candidates must be ready to address one or more of the SDGs in their community by proposing and implementing a localized SDG Micro-Project during the scholarship period from May – December 2023
