Zawadi Africa Education Fund 2023 Applications are now open until April 14, 2023. The fund is offered to young African women with the goal of developing a pipeline of young African women leaders in the continent.
Through this fund, young girls in selected African countries will secure scholarships to finance their education. The fund is specifically for academically gifted and talented girls from low backgrounds to study in U.S.A, Uganda, Ghana, South Africa, and Kenya.

About Zawadi Africa Education Fund
Zawadi Africa Education Fund is a program for leadership development. The program provides university scholarship opportunities and leadership development.
It also provides life skills training to African girls who are academically gifted but financially disadvantaged. The fund is primarily designed to develop a pipeline of young African women leaders.
The Zawadi Africa Education Fund seeks to make world-class education available to young African girls and to inculcate the right character development in them.
This will equip and empower them with the required skills needed to make a both significant and positive impact in their communities and countries at large.

Eligibility Criteria for Zawadi Africa Education Fund Scholarship and Leadership Development Program
Candidates are expected to meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Zawadi Africa Education Fund Scholarship and Leadership Development Program
- Only female African students are eligible to apply for the Zawadi Africa Education Fund
- She must have an A or an A- in her KCSE exams
- Applicants must be girls who have completed their secondary school examinations. This includes the Kenya Secondary School Certificate Examination (KCSE)
- Expected to demonstrate academic excellence (A Plain or A Minus)
- Candidate must have occupied a leadership role(s) in their school and/or community.
- The Candidate should demonstrate financial need.
- Ideal Candidates must have completed high school education not more than 2 years before applying for the Zawadi Africa education fund.
