Applications for CAWF Charles R. Wall Leadership Program 2023 for African Leaders is now open, the African Wild life Foundation (AWF) is inviting applications for the Charles R. Wall Leadership Program 2023 batch.
The leadership program has two components to it namely;
- The Charles R. Wall Young African Policy Fellows and
- The Charles R. Wall Conservation Leadership and Management Fellowship
The Conservation Leadership and Management Fellowship is designed to build communities of skilled and connected young African professionals that will drive meaningful transformation in conservation in the continent of Africa. While,
The Young African Policy Fellows Program seeks to train young professionals to be policy negotiators on International Environmental Governance, specifically on the Convention on Biological Diversity. The program will run for a period of 9-month, it is offered by AWF and the U.N. Environment Programme (UNEP).

- Fellows will be imparted with transformational leadership and management skills needed to lead systemic impact in environmental issues.

- Interested and Qualified applicants are expected to submit a motivation letter responding to why he/she would like to be considered
- Additionally documents includes a CV and Reference letter from the Candidate’s university, employer, or any senior person with whom they have worked with.

Eligibility Criteria for AWF Charles R. Wall Leadership Program Qualification
- The Fellowship is open to African youth aged 20-35 years
- For policy fellows, they will have Lots of opportunities to engage in national and international policymaking meetings and conventions while leadership and management fellows will have opportunities to visit conservation organizations and projects.
