- Mauritius African Scholarship Applications are to be made to the Nominating Agency in the applicant’s country of origin and are NOT to be sent directly to Mauritius by the applicant.
- Subsequently, the Nominating Agency; part of the Ministry of Education, will then select and nominate up to 5 candidates for undergraduate programmes (indicating clearly the level of studies for each nominated candidate).
- The application form will then be transmitted to Mauritius by the Nominating Agency of the country of citizenship of the candidates

Requirements for Mauritius Africa Scholarships Qualification
Mauritius African Scholarship duration will be for a maximum of four (4) years or the minimum course duration.
- It is expected that intending Candidates for this Scholarship, have already completed their secondary school to be eligible
- The candidate must also satisfy the minimum grade requirements of
24 points at GCE A – Level which will be computed on the basis of the following grades obtained in three Principal subjects: A+=10, A=9, B=8, C=7, D=6 & E=5; OR
An overall average of 70% or an overall average of, 14/20;
- The candidate will have to provide valid TOEFL or IELTS test results with a minimum score not less than 550 or 5.5 respectively if the qualifications exams is not in English, or appropriate proof of English Language proficiency.
- Applicants who are holders of an undergraduate degree will not be eligible for Mauritius African Scholarship Program
- Current students who personally finance their studies and are already studying in Mauritius will NOT be eligible for this Scholarship Scheme.
