Altron Digital Business was established after three of Altron Group’s operational entities combined. Craig Stewart, a former vice president of sales at Dimension Data (now NTT Data), will lead the combined company that was formed by the merger of Altron Karabina, Altron Systems Integration, and Altron Managed Solutions.

The three companies’ intended merger was first covered by TechCentral in November of last year. The IT services section of the group is composed of Altron Security and Altron Digital Business. “Altron Digital Business wants to be known as the IT services company that grows your business,” Stewart stated in a statement released on Monday about the new venture.
Current States of South African Businesses
According to him, it is extremely difficult for South African businesses to expand in an economy that has stagnated. Many are therefore looking to technology to assist businesses in cutting expenses, increasing productivity, and opening up new revenue streams.
Stewart stated, “The move makes us a much larger company able to deliver a comprehensive set of enterprise-grade IT services at scale.” He adds, “We have also implemented a simplified, customer-focused operating model that makes it easier for our customers to work with us.”
Business Benefits that Cloud Computing Offers
One of the main products of the new company is managed cloud infrastructure services, which is growing at a rate of 25% annually, according to Stewart.
He pointed out, “The business benefits that cloud computing offers, such as high availability and increased resilience and agility, are the driving force behind this growth.” He also mentioned that a major goal of this offering is to assist customers in lowering their cloud spending, which has sharply increased as more businesses quickly migrate to cloud services.
