The Alpine Fellowship Poetry Prize is given to the most outstanding poetic interpretation of the theme of ‘Language’. The competition receives submissions from global participants and provides financial aid in the form of grants, mentorship, and opportunities for the work of talented young individuals in the fields of art, writing, academia, and drama.
The organization collaborates with other artistic and academic institutions to create new works of art and promote the study of humanities and interdisciplinary fields.
Benefits
- Cash prizes will be awarded to the winner and runners-up, and they will also be extended an invitation to attend the yearly symposium.
- First place: £3,000
- Second place: £1,000
- Third place: £1,000
- They will provide up to £500 in travel expenses for attendees to use towards transportation to the event, as well as covering meals and accommodation during the symposium dates.
Eligibility Criteria
- All nationalities are welcome to apply.
- Applicants must be 18 years old or older when entering Alpine Fellowship Poetry Prize.
- The preferred language for submission is English.
- Applicants must agree to allocate a portion of their prize money to participate in our symposium, which will take place from Saturday, July 6th to Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, in Tuscany, Italy.
- You can enter either one poem or a group of poems, as long as all the poems in the collection relate to the theme.
- Every submission must be no longer than 500 words. There is no minimum word count requirement.
