The Africa IGF (Internet Governance Forum) Secretariat is pleased to invite passionate African Youths to participate in the 2023 edition of the Africa IGF Program. This year, the event is scheduled to take place at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.
In preparation for this event, the Africa IGF has announced the call for Travel Support, with the aim of promoting inclusive participation and enabling aspiring attendees to actively contribute to the future of Internet governance in Africa.
Benefits of Africa IGF Youth Travel Support
The Africa IGF offers two types of travel support, these Include:
- Full Support: This comprehensive support package includes travel, accommodation, and local transportation, ensuring that deserving youths can fully participate in the Africa IGF 2023.
- Partial Support: This support package covers either travel or accommodation, offering flexibility based on the specific needs of applicants.
About the African Internet Governance Forum (African IGF)
The African IGF serves as a vibrant and inclusive platform, bringing together stakeholders from across the African continent to engage in discussions and shape the future of Internet governance.
Dedicated to fostering open and inclusive dialogue on Internet governance issues impacting Africa, the forum aims to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and informed decision-making among diverse stakeholders, including governments, Academia, the Private sector, and civil society organizations.
Eligibility Criteria for Africa IGF Youth Travel Support
To be eligible for the Africa IGF Youth travel support, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- The Applicant must be currently residing in African countries.
- Applicants should fall within the age range of 15 and 35 years.
- Demonstrated interest in Internet governance, policy, or related fields is essential.
- Applicants must state clearly, how Participating In the Africa IGF will be of benefit to both the applicant and the African continent.
- Willingness to cover visa expenses independently.
