Aimed at supporting exceptionally talented students facing financial constraints in pursuing their education, this annual scholarship seeks to advance education at all levels.

Scholarship Benefits

The Zeribe Nwosu Foundation’s AI & Data Science Scholarship offers Successful applicants the following benefits:

  • Year 2 Students: Award Value: N50,000 per recipient

Number of Awards: 10

  • Year 4 Students: Award Value: N100,000 per recipient

Number of Awards: 25

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the ZNF AI & Data Science Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Academic Level: At least in year 4 of undergraduate studies or not more than 1 year since project defense.
  • Educational Background: A student or graduate of a Nigerian university or polytechnic (private or public).
  • Academic Performance: Attained a Cumulative Grade Point Aggregate (CGPA) of at least 3.5 on a scale of 5 (from years 1-3).
  • For polytechnic students or those using a 4.0 scale, a rough conversion to a percentage is acceptable (e.g., CGPA of 2.8 out of 4.0 or 70%).
  • Medical students should provide Year 1 results and evidence of achieving a “Pass” for subjects taken in Years 2-3.

Required Documents

To complete the application process, applicants need to submit the following documents:

  • Personal Statement: A concise 1-page statement outlining their aspirations and commitment to AI and Data Science.
  • CV: A 1-2 page CV listing AI/data science tools used or developed.
  • Letter of Recommendation: One official letter on letterhead, endorsing the applicant’s suitability for the scholarship.
  • Transcripts: Unofficial transcripts of year 1-3 academic records; graduates should include additional transcripts as appropriate.
  • Undergraduate Admission Letter: If unavailable, the referee letter must explicitly state the admission year.
