Eligibility Criteria for the WAAW Scholarship Program 2023-24

To be eligible for this scholarship, Candidates must fulfill the conditions below:

  • Applicants must be female students of African origin, living and studying in Africa.
  • Should be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program at a recognized University or college in Africa where they’re studying STEM-related courses
  • Should currently be in their first or second year or third year, for a 5-year course in a University.
  • Must be able to demonstrate financial need to be considered for the award
  • Excellent Academic Record is required
  • Candidates must have proven leadership, volunteering, and community service records
  • All applicants must be below the age of 32 years.

Documents Required for WAAW Scholarship

  • Two Reference Letter: Up to two references are required, one MUST be written by a professor from your institution of study, while the other from an academic supervisor/advisor
  • One signed and sealed copy of your current transcript from your University.
  • One scanned copy of your school ID card
  • A personal statement highlighting your academic achievements, leadership skills, and community service.
