Verizon’s myPlan Lineup Reportedly Adds a Pricier Unlimited Ultimate Option

Verizon’s myPlan lineup reportedly adds a pricier Unlimited Ultimate option. The newly reported unlimited option in question offers users even more hotspot data, but however, it isn’t cheap at a $90 monthly fee before adding available perks such as discounted Apple Music or Disney Plus.

Verizon will now offer a new $90 monthly cellphone plan known as Unlimited Ultimate, reportedly announced in an update to the May blog post that announced its myPlan lineup. The option as you should know offers 60GB of mobile hotspot data (which is double of what you get with the $80 Unlimited Plus plan), 10GB of unthrottled international data, and it also includes access to the 5G Ultra Wideband network of the company that is a mix of the company’s C-band wireless signal and its faster mmWave 5G.

T-Mobile’s New Expensive Unlimited Data Plan

T-Mobile on the other hand similarly just introduced a new expensive “unlimited” data plan to its Go5G line with the $100 per month Go5G Next plan to help complement its C-band spectrum. The plan as you should know offers users slightly less hotspot data at 50GB but however comes with Netflix Basic and Apple TV Plus as well as the option to upgrade your phone on a yearly schedule.

Verizon reportedly unbundled streaming services and similar incentives when it introduced myPlan, thus turning them instead into $10 a month add-on “perks.” The company in the early parts of this month announced to subscribers that its legacy “Mix and Match” plans would see a price hike, which could then, in turn, drive people to switch plans but rather at the expense of older plan features such as unlimited 5G hotspot data for some.

Multi-Line Discounts For This Plan

Per Ashley Colette, Verizon communications manager, who recently confirmed the multi-line discounts for this very plan in an email to The Verge, these are the reported prices for accounts with five lines and beyond:

  • 1 line: $90
  • 2 lines: $80
  • 3 lines: $65
  • 4 lines: $55
  • 5 or more lines: $52

It is however worth noting here that this Unlimited plan will not get the three-year price guarantee Verizon offered for its “best Unlimited plan” originally as Colette in a later email clarified, while the listed prices assume that you will set up auto-pay, which as you should know brings a $10 monthly discount.

What You Need To Know About the Plan

If it is that you get to find yourself working out-of-pocket a lot with a laptop reportedly tethered to your computer and then again you are leaving the country frequently, it could be really nice not to have to deal with adding temporary international plans such as the TravelPass plan of the company, which reportedly gives you 2GB of unfettered data for an extra $10 (but however throttles you to 3G speeds once it is that you go over), but it, however, will not add much for people who tend to stay near their home Wi-Fi, just so you know.
