University of Oregon International Cultural Service Program (ICSP) 2024 – Study in USA

The University of Oregon in the USA has commenced applications for the 2024 Cultural Service Program (ICSP). Through the innovative ICSP program, student beneficiaries offer the university and the surrounding community priceless chances for cross-cultural exchange. This initiative is in line with the University of Oregon’s goal of promoting global education.

University of Oregon International Cultural Service Program

Through the International Cultural Service Program (ICSP), a selected number of international students from the University of Oregon come together to offer invaluable opportunities for cross-cultural engagement and global education to Eugene, Springfield, and the neighboring towns.

Overview of the International Cultural Service Program (ICSP)

The Oregon State Board of Higher Education established the program in 1982. It is currently run by the Division of Global Engagement’s International Student and Scholar Services unit and funded by the University of Oregon using internal fee remission resources.

Participants offer cultural and educational contributions to the community In exchange for financial aid for scholarships. Services include giving presentations (live or virtually) about various facets of their native culture to groups on campus and in the community, including K–12 schools, elder care facilities, and other community organizations.

Benefits of the International Cultural Service Program

All the successfully selected International Cultural Service Program (ICSP) students, will receive a partial tuition waiver scholarship. Recipients can renew the ICSP scholarship each year to complete their UO degree program. However, the student follows the requirements of the ICSP program.

Eligibility Requirements for the UO International Cultural Service Program

The eligibility criteria for UO International Cultural Service Program Include:

  • Applicants must have been granted admission to pursue a taught programme at UO or he/she must have been fully admitted
  • To apply for admission to the University of Oregon for the 2024 Fall term, students must do so by January 15, 2024.
  • Prospective Candidates must be Citizens of the United States have obtained permanent residency, or are eligible to receive financial aid from the U.S. government.
  • In addition to meeting the minimum cumulative GPA criterion of 3.5, applicants must also demonstrate that they have adequate financial resources in addition to the award.

How to Apply

For Current UO Students:

  • Go to the UO Scholarship Dashboard and login to submit the General Application and the ICSP Scholarship Application.
  • Submit applications and Reference Letters by February 16, 2024, by 4 p.m. (PST).

For Incoming freshmen and new transfer, new graduate,s and new post-baccalaureate applicants:

  • The first step is to apply for Admission to the University of Oregon at http://admissions.uoregon.edu/apply before you can apply for scholarships.
  • Check your email (within a week) for an invitation to enter the UO Scholarship Dashboard.
  • Go to the UO Scholarship Dashboard at http://financialaid.uoregon.edu/scholarships#apply and submit the General Application and the ICSP Scholarship Application. Please note that you must apply for admission before this step.
