Colleagues across the African continent with whom the Bartlett Development Planning Unit (DPU) has had numerous, important, and long-lasting partnerships. A lot of University College London (UCL) work is based on those relationships, which date back to the DPU’s earliest beginnings.

However, UCL operates in an educational setting where many of its international partners cannot afford the programs they provide, and this is especially true for those residing in Sub-Saharan Africa. The goal of the DPU70 Scholarships is to contribute in some small way to the support of the teamwork that is so essential to everyone.

Benefits

  • full tuition fees for students studying abroad, as well as a yearly stipend of £16,008 to cover living and educational costs throughout the program at UCL.
  • The cost of travel to and from the UK, a UK study visa, an English language proficiency test, a health test, and the NHS Immigration Health Supplement are additional expenses.
  • Throughout their studies, all Promise scholars including DPU70 scholars, will also have ongoing academic and vocational support.
  • The master’s program costs include full international tuition, a living stipend, and transportation to and from the home country for the whole year. The precise amount will change significantly based on travel expenses such as airfare.
