United Nations Youth Champions for Disarmament Training Programme 2023 [2nd Edition] – APPLY NOW

Applications for the 2nd edition of the United Nations Youth Champions for Disarmament Training Programme 2023 now open. This program is an effort of the UN Secretary-General António Guterres, to empower youth to work for disarmament in their communities. Well, the United Nations Disarmament Training 2024 program is a very good opportunity and is best considered.

The United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA), is generously funded by the Government of Germany.

The training is an innovative learning program aimed at empowering participants to work for disarmament in their communities. The Youth Champions for Disarmament Training Programme will bring together a geographically different group of young disarmament advocates and provide them with the enablement to share their specific regional perspectives.

United Nations Disarmament Training 2024 | Details

The Participating young disarmament advocates will get to share their specific regional perspectives from Africa and Europe; Asia and the Pacific; the Americas and the Caribbean regions and be connected to the global disarmament discourse.

In addition, participants will benefit from the available job opportunities (3 jobs), with UNODA during the training program. This is aimed at supporting UNODA’s implementation at regional levels.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants who wish to participate in the 2024 edition of the United Nations Disarmament Training, are required to meet the conditions below:

• Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 24 years to be considered eligible for this program
• Candidates should have an interest in participating in an innovative learning program to improve their ability to advocate for peace, disarmament, non-proliferation, and arms control in their community.
• Upon Successful application, applicants must be available to participate in a face-to-face regional workshop, as well as travel to the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
