Trinity University’s Early Decision Acceptance Rate for Fall 2027

This year, Trinity University experienced a significant increase in Early Decision (ED) enrollments, with 150 students, accounting for nearly a quarter of the incoming class. This represents a remarkable 36% rise compared to the previous enrollment cycle. Furthermore, the ED cohort for this year exhibits higher academic achievements in terms of average GPA, test scores, and class rank, as well as a greater percentage of students of color (53%) when compared to previous ED groups.

What is Trinity’s SAT, ACT,  And GPA?

The incoming Class of 2027 at Trinity University maintains an average GPA of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale, mirroring the previous year’s average GPA. Trinity University expects applicants to have an average GPA of approximately 3.58, which suggests that being around the middle of their high school class is sufficient. Maintaining a combination of A’s and B’s with minimal C’s is recommended. However, if your GPA is lower, taking more challenging courses such as AP or IB classes can help offset this.

Approximately forty-three percent of the incoming students chose to include their official SAT or ACT test scores for evaluation, while the rest opted for Trinity’s test-optional admission policy. Among those who submitted scores, the average ACT is 31, and the average SAT is 1398, both of which are similar to the averages of the Class of 2026.
