Tom Holland is set to return as Spider-Man according to Kevin Feige. Although there are not many details to go with for now, but it’s definitely not the last of the likable web-crawler we have seen.
Tom Holland Is Set To Return as Spider-Man According To Kevin Feige
The spider-man character of Tom Holland will be swinging back on ot the big screen, Marvel President Kevin Feige confirmed this week to Entertainment Weekly. When Feige was asked about a new Spidey story with Holland, the president gave an affirmative answer but however with few details.
“All I will say is that we have the story,” Feige revealed to the magazine. “We have big ideas for that, and our writers are just putting pen to paper now.”
Holland Has Played Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Six Films
Holland, 26, so far has played Peter Parker/Spider-Man in six films. The actor starred in three solo spider man films starting with 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and then in Spider-man: far From Home in 2019 and Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021. He has also played the teen superhero in Captain America: Civil War of 2016, 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, and 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.
Sony Set To Continue Working with Marvel and Holland
This however is not entirely shocking. Amy Pascal, the producer of Spider-Man told Fandango back in 2021 that Sony Pictures which owns the film rights to spider-man would continue to work with marvel and Holland, and in the process mentioned a new trilogy of films.
Feige did not explain whether that was what he was referring to or if whether he was just referencing an appearance from spider-man in an avenger movie. Holland a year ago was vague about his Spidey future.
Tom Holland’s Reaction to the Development
“We’ve had conversations about the potential future of Spider-Man, but at the moment, they are conversations,” Holland revealed to EW in a response to the new trilogy talk by Pascal. “We don’t know what the future looks like.”
