The first trailer of Furiosa drops and it has fans buzzing. The trailer in question teases the origins of one of the best characters of Mad Max’s saga. In the just-released trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road prequel from director George Miller, Anya Taylor-Joy is a woman who is on a mission in an apocalyptic wasteland.

Mad Max: Fury Road as you should know had a lot of fantastic things going for it, but a couple of things shined quite as brilliantly as the tough-as-nails take on Imperator Furiosa by Charlize Theron. The character in question was a testament to just how many more fascinating stories George Miller could easily dream up for his beloved apocalyptic franchise. And while eponymous antihero of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga might look a little bit different from the first trailer of the Fury Road spin-off , it seems very like the movie is going to over-deliver on everything the fans of Miller have been waiting for.
Mad Max: Furiosa Story
Set in a hellish future where traditional societies have reportedly collapsed, and precious natural resources such as water are scare, Furiosa reveals the story of how a much younger version of Furiosa (Anya Taylor-Joy) is reportedly forced to fight for her life after she was kidnapped from the Green Place of Many Mothers by the warlord Dementus (Chris Hemsworth).
Details of the Just Released Trailer
The trailer in question is intentionally vague regarding just how many years pass after Furiosa was initially stolen away from her family as well as the moment when she finally makes a break for her very own freedom. But by the time that Furiosa is ready to take her destiny into her own hands, she has already seen just enough of how men such as Dementus have remade the world in their own images to know that she has to be ruthless in her very own fight for freedom.
When Will Furiosa Hit Theaters?
Furiosa will hit theaters on the 24th of May, 2024.
