Applications for Taylor-Blakeslee Graduate Fellowships 2024 are now Open. The Council for the Advancement of Science Writing invites aspiring science journalists and students with a passion for communicating complex topics to the public to apply for the prestigious Taylor/Blakeslee Graduate Fellowships.

Individuals dedicated to advancing the discourse on science, medicine, health, technology, and the environment, are encouraged to apply, this includes Journalists with at least two years of mass media experience.

Taylor-Blakeslee Graduate Fellowships – Details

A donation from The Brinson Foundation, a Chicago-based charitable foundation committed to promoting scientific, public health, and educational initiatives, is used to fund the Taylor-Blakeslee Graduate Fellowships. Donations to CASW’s general fund, including as a gift from the American Tentative Society, which for three decades was a major player in advancing public knowledge of science and the scientific method, provide further funding.

The Taylor-Blakeslee Graduate Fellowships are awarded in memory of Alton Blakeslee, ATS’s longtime president and former science editor of Associated Press, and the late Rennie Taylor, an Associated Press science reporter whose estate contributed funding for the organization’s founding.
