Applications for the 2024 TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program are now open. One of the Taiwan ICDF’s long-standing primary missions has been providing international education and training.

TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship

In collaboration with well-known partner universities in Taiwan, the TaiwanICDF has created undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programs in addition to offering fully funded scholarships for higher study.

Programs for developing human resources are essential for helping partner nations attain sustainable development, and education is a key tool for preparing the labor force in developing nations.

Benefits of the TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program

As a successfully selected applicant, you will receive the following support:

  • Cost of travel: The TaiwanICDF will book Economy Class tickets for your most direct flights to and from Taiwan.
  • Housing: The dorms are the required place of residence for all students.
  • Tuition: As stipulated by the student’s university, the TaiwanICDF will pay the tuition.
  • Insurance and credit fees: The number of credits registered determines the credit fees. In addition, credit fees will be paid as stipulated by the student’s university.
  • Cost of textbooks: Purchasing textbooks by instructor requirements requires director clearance of the student’s institute.
  • The TaiwanICDF will grant each student a monthly allowance for the duration of their award period.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the requirements below to be considered eligible for the TaiwanICDF Scholarship.

  • Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of a country listed as eligible for the TaiwanICDF Scholarship.
  • Nationality: Exclusion criteria include being a national of the Republic of China (Taiwan) or an overseas compatriot student.
  • University Admission: Satisfy the admission requirements of the chosen partner university.
  • Visa Requirements: Fulfill Resident Visa (Code: FS) and Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) requirements set by the ROC (Taiwan) government.
  • Scholarship Exclusivity: Scholars must not hold any other ROC (Taiwan) government-sponsored scholarship concurrently.

Prior Scholars and Graduation Criteria

  • For those who have previously held a TaiwanICDF scholarship, MOFA’s Taiwan Scholarship, or an MOE scholarship, graduation by July 31, 2023, is a prerequisite. The highest-level diploma must be provided before July 31, 2024.

The application process for the TaiwanICDF Masters Scholarship can be completed within a few minutes. Candidates who meet the aforementioned requirements should apply by following the steps below:

  • Admission Documents: Ensure timely submission of required admission documents to the TaiwanICDF scholarship partner universities.
  • Embassy Submission: Submit necessary documents to the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy or Representative Office in your country.
  • Announcement of Successful Applicants
  • After a review, the list of successful applicants will be communicated by June 10, 2024.
