Starfield Players Can’t Shoot Due To a Holdover Bug from Fallout 4

Starfield players can’t shoot due to a holdover bug from Fallout 4. This is seen as a superficial problem for gamers. That said, will this bug be remedied soon? Or are players going to have to wait for a long time for a solution?

Players of Starfield are currently facing another bug in the game, but this time around, it just could be the death of you.

A host of players have just discovered an unfortunate bug in Starfield that stops some from firing a gun even after reportedly squeezing the trigger. It is quite a shame that this has reared its ugly head again, especially as this very problem was present in Fallout 4 some eight years ago. Some fans on the other hand were hopeful for a bug-free launch, but this however seems too much to ask for when the bug in question comes to even basic functions in the Softworks’ space RPG of Bethesda.

Users Hit With the Unfortunate Starfield Bug

Strong_Leopard_4511 on Reddit unfortunately was hit with this bug while he was reportedly fighting off space pirates. And in a couple of seconds, they found that their gun was all but useless as they were reportedly forced to finish the fight solely with an axe. And while many in the replies simply lamented that this was, in fact, a similar and shared problem, there were however a couple with some solutions.

A Solution to the Bug

Astrus_Eminus however claims to have found a solution that involves going to a face change shop. Here, players in question must “enhance” their character simply by making use of the customization screen to finish the character creation. This very simple process will apparently fix the said bug and then enable guns to work again immediately.

You can also simply just change your sex making use of a console command to dislodge whatever it is that is blocking your Starfield character from correctly firing a gun. Very much, unfortunately, while this got to solve the mystery of the non-firing weapon, it also reportedly disabled Steam Achievements.

Not all Starfield Bugs are Bad

However, as you should know, not all bugs are bad in Starfield, especially not the one that allows you to steal one of the best spacesuits in the game. This, unfortunately, was, only present in the early access version of the game, so it is not up for grabs at the moment. That being said, who is to say that there aren’t more creative and strange bugs to be discovered in the depths of the Starfield game?
