St Andrews Prize for the Environment

Since its inception in 1998, the St Andrews Prize has granted more than US$2.5 million to individuals and organizations from around the world who have developed imaginative solutions that contribute to environmental protection and promote sustainability in society.

In its 26th year, the Prize aims to celebrate the individuals and ideas that are working towards solving the most significant challenge of our time.

  • The winner of the prize will be awarded $100,000 USD, while the runner(s)-up will receive $25,000 USD.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The St Andrews Prize encourages individuals and organizations, including community groups, involved in projects that focus on environmental protection or contribute to sustainable development to apply.
  • One of the main objectives of the prize is to drive significant advancements in addressing environmental issues. Therefore, they are particularly interested in projects where winning would lead to significant progress in the development and implementation of the proposed idea.
