Applications are currently ongoing for the Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) – January 2025 Intake. The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a result of collaboration between several prestigious institutions in Singapore, including the Agency for Science.
Technology & Research (A*STAR), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), and Singapore Management University (SMU). Does that sound like a good paraphrase? PhD training through SINGA is conducted in English, allowing students to choose their preferred lab at A*STAR research institutes and NTU/NUS/SUTD/SMU. Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded a PhD degree from either NTU, NUS, SUTD, or SMU.

Benefits
The scholarship covers the tuition fees for up to 4 years of PhD studies.
- A monthly stipend of S$2,200 is provided, which will be raised to S$2,700 after passing the Qualifying Examination.
- There is a one-time grant of up to S$1,500 for flight expenses.
- A single settling-in allowance of S$1,000 is available.
Eligibility Criteria
- The opportunity is available to international graduates who possess exceptional academic achievements and a strong research interest.
- SINGA is primarily intended for international students studying in Singapore for the first time.
- Not eligible for Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents, and international students studying/having studied in Singapore.
- It is necessary to have excellent skills in both written and spoken English.
- Positive reports from academic referees are recommended.

- A recent passport-sized photo is needed in either .jpeg or .png format.
- It is important to note that all documents should be submitted online and no hard copies should be mailed to the SINGA office.
