Benefits of SINGA Award 2024

  • Awardees receive a monthly stipend of S$ 2,200, providing financial support to cover their living expenses while pursuing their Ph.D. degree.
  • Upon qualifying for the first examination, the monthly stipend is increased to S$ 2,700, acknowledging the progress and commitment of the students.
  • Each SINGA fellow receives a one-time airfare grant of up to S$ 1,500, facilitating their travel to Singapore and making the transition smoother.
  • To support the initial settling-in phase, fellows receive a one-time settlement grant of S$ 1,000, enabling them to establish themselves comfortably in Singapore.
  • SINGA provides a settling-in allowance of up to S$ 1,000 to assist awardees with various expenses during their initial period in Singapore.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Only candidates interested in pursuing a Ph.D. degree in the fields of science and engineering are eligible for the SINGA Award.
