Black British students from economically disadvantaged families residing in the Greater London area are eligible to apply for the Raheem Sterling Scholarships award. The goal of this award is to assist the aforementioned student in realising their full potential in the world, finding their voice, and removing obstacles standing in their way of achievement.

The annual value of the Raheem Sterling Scholarships is £16,250. The Raheem Sterling Foundation believes that To improve the chances of young people, including their quality of life, and their prospects for the future, they should always get the help they require.

Details About Raheem Sterling Scholarship

Three (3) years are allotted for the Raheem Sterling Scholarship, pending satisfactory academic progress. Should you fail to achieve adequate academic progress and have to retake a year of coursework, the scholarship will not cover the cost; instead, you will have to cover this yourself. Taking out Student Finance is one way to do this.

Successful recipients of the Raheem Sterling Scholarship must be willing to provide the Raheem Sterling Foundation with an annual report on their progress at King’s College London.

Benefits 

  • Successfully selected candidates for the Raheem Sterling Scholarship will receive tuition fee coverage for the amount of £9,250 per student.
  • in addition, a stipend of up to £7,000 will be given to each student. The award will cover a duration of three years.

Note: Please note that students will not receive funding for repeat years, a year abroad or interruptions.

Eligiblity Requirements for Raheem Sterling Scholarship

Prospective Candidates must meet the conditions below to be eligible for the Raheem Sterling Scholarship:

  1. Applicants must be classified under the following ethnic groups:
  • Black or Black British–Caribbean
  • Black or Black British – African
  • Mixed-white and Black Caribbean
  • Mixed-white and Black African
  • Other Black background
  1. Candidates are expected to have received and accepted an offer to study for an eligible undergraduate full-time degree programme at King’s College London for the September 2024 intake
  2. Applicants must have been assessed for fee status as a ‘home’ student.
  3. Possesses a home postcode from the Greater London area as stated in their UCAS application

Preference will be given to these set of applicants:

  • Applicants whose home postcodes are in the London Borough of Brent, and/or
  • Applicants with an assessed household income of £25,000 per year or less, and/or
  • Those hailing from a Priority Group – Care-Experienced, Estranged, Forced Migrants and/or
  • Students who are eligible for contextual admissions at King’s College London
