Peacock Trailer for The Continental

We are still very much fresh off the debut of the fourth John Wick movie, and more are already and currently on the way, although without the iconic assassin which the series takes its name from. Peacock just recently released the first teaser trailer for The Continental with full name The Continental: From the World of John Wick. This is a prequel series that explores the history of the titular hotel, which as you already know plays a huge part in the Wick mythology.

The Plot and Story of the Series

The series in question takes place in 1970s New York City and it follows a younger version of Winston Scott which is played by Colin Woodell as “he’s dragged into the Hell-scape of 1970s New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through the hotel’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the hotel where he will eventually take his future throne.” The teaser doesn’t reveal a lot, but, just as always, there are lots and lots of guns.

The Continental Series Will Be a Three-Part Series

The Continental series is billed as a three-part series, and the series is due to begin streaming in September. The series in question is also not the only Wick spinoff in the works, with a film dubbed Ballerina, which stars Ana de Armas, due to hit theaters in the coming year.
