In March 2024, it plans to complete the construction of the OX4 truck and transport it to nearby markets for assembly. Within the company’s UK headquarters, a team of twenty is working on the design, engineering, and production of the OX4 vehicle.

OX Delivers intends to grow globally, starting in Africa, to the South. According to OX Delivers, launching the all-electric OX4 truck will improve business operations and help electrify its current depots. OX Delivers unveiled a vehicle control unit, which sparked the creation of cutting-edge software for electric trucks.

With the grant, the business hopes to establish a network of “charge points” for low-carbon energy and offer reasonably priced transportation to remote areas, emphasizing the advantages of this energy source.

CEO, Simon Davis, claims that the Validation of OX Delivers is the Solution to Sustainable Energy

Simon Davis, the CEO, claims that the validation of OX Delivers as a sustainable energy solution in the Global South goes beyond financial support. Beyond the Energy Catalyst investment grant, OX Delivers has raised around $10 million from investors.

Additionally, the UK government and USAID have funded it through programs like the Advanced Propulsion Center and Innovate UK. OX Delivers received grants from Advanced Propulsion Centre UK in 2022 totaling £8,500,000 ($10,722,707) and Innovate UK in 2021 totaling £800,000 more than $1 million.

From 2019, the country’s electric vehicle (EV) sector has attracted global manufacturers after Volkswagen introduced its first electric vehicle in Africa, in Rwanda. As a result, EV sales are projected to reach $85.6 million in 2024 and a $162.2 million market volume by 2028.
