Eligibility Criteria of Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2024

To participate in this Globalink Research Internship, prospective students must:

  • Be up to the minimum age of 18
  • Be currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or combined undergraduate/master’s program at an eligible institution (refer to the list of eligible institutions by country under the Student Application tab)
  • Have a remaining program duration of one to three semesters as of Fall 2024
  • Satisfy the specific grade requirements for their country of study (updated GPA requirements by country to be available in June 2023)
  • Commit to a 12-week internship, commencing in Canada between May 1 and July 31, 2024, and returning to their home country between July 31 and October 31, 2024
  • Hold a valid passport with an expiry date of at least January 2025
  • Furnish the following in their application:
  • Transcript from home university, in English or French.
  • A reference letter from a professor or research supervisor.
  • A comprehensive CV outlining research experiences.
  • Application to a minimum of three, and a maximum of seven, projects, ensuring selections span at least three diverse Canadian provinces.
