Eligibility and Requirements
The program welcomes applications from international students from all around the world. To be eligible for the METI Japanese Internship Program 2023-24, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be a citizen of listed Kindly check the official website to view a list of eligible countries
- Candidates must have an agreement on the purpose of the program and be willing to cooperate with Japanese businesses to promote overseas internationalization and business development and to network with overseas universities.
- Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT level N3 or higher) or English, is required
- A minimum of 20 years old and a maximum of 40 years old by August 31, 2023
- Candidates are required to submit a school or university enrollment or graduation certificate and a letter of recommendation from the (enrolled /graduate) university or company, etc.
- Must be available to participate in the training and engage in an internship at the designated work site.
- Applicants should be able to adhere to the internship timetable fixed by the JIP office.
- To be eligible, applicants must not have attended this program from 2017 to 2022.
